Easy comparison of all the best cable TV plans

Tuesday, June 23rd, 2009

Yes, I think I have it all figured out! Terrestrial TV is over, and now we have Freeview. But in order to watch Freeview I need a set top box. And that hooks to a scart connection or an rtf impedance connector if my set is really old. But if I want to watch Premier League matches, I will need to pay for Setana, but that will not give me many channels.

If I want Freeview with extra channels, I need Topup TV, but that won’t get me all the channels or movies. And if I want Broadband bundled with my TV, I will need a package from Sir Richard and Virgin TV… unless Tiscali serves my area and I want to include their home telephone service. Simple, eh? Ha, not at all. It is an incredible mess, compounded by the fact that all of the services and prices vary, dependent on where in the UK you live.

Is Apple iPhone 3G Really Worth the Hype

Sunday, June 21st, 2009

The iPhone, a superb phone that does everything. We love it but say we want the freedom of not being tied down to a contract? You’d need an unlocked Pay as you go iPhone 3g which yes would give you the freedom but you’ll also loose the benefits of internet browsing you’d get free with a contract. With the iPhone 3G it’s all about the internet and apps as well as making calls.

Still, many would prefer it on Pay as you talk but simply don’t have the money. Give it a few years and the price will drop or look hard enough for a deal that can’t be beaten. The recession has definitely brought out the bargain hunters amongst us all.

Much information on deals submitted by the public are available for those who are looking to save a bob or two where you are able to purchase an unlocked iPhone 3G on Pay as you go for under £100.

If you’re the sort that always wants the latest gadgets then you would have heard about the iPhone 3G S. Yes, S.. for ‘Speed’. Apple’s up’d their game on this one and developed on their previous. Due for release on 19 June is it going to be as big of a hit when the first iPhone came out? Only time will tell.

It’s a fact though, that we’d always want more. After this what else could the iPhone possibly bring on top? A built in microwave oven? Now that would be something. ????? ????????? ????? ??????

With a tough market ahead of us we need to make sure that our living costs are at an attainable level. One of the things that we can do to bring down our monthly costs is look at our mobile phone costs. For example, do we really need that mobile broadband deal that we have been looking at for the last few weeks. If not then go without.

There are a few phones that are out there at the moment that offer great value for money, especially on contract, plus they are packed with great features as well. First there is the Samsung Tocco Ultra, the new phone from Samsung that offers both a keypad and a touch screen. It is a great improvement on the last Tocco model and we think that it will be a real winner given the price placement of the Tocco series.
If the Samsung isn’t your think and you really want to push the boat out, why not go for one the Nokia N97 deals that will be released later this year. This phone will of course be more expensive, but to be honest, if you can afford it, why not go for it? There are some killer features on the N97 and is geared towards business users, more so than the iPhone, so we could see a large take up in the city. Whichever you decide upon, make sure that you compare price before purchasing. ?????a? ???a? ????? ?????? ?????

Digital Wireless Headphones Deliver Freedom

Sunday, June 7th, 2009

Wireless HeadphoneIf you like to listen to your favorite podcasts or tunes when cleaning the house or exercising, but hate being attached to your stereo, iPod or other player by a cord, then digital wireless headphones are for you.

?????????? ???????? ??????????? ????

Wireless headsets are connected to your electronic gadgets with a mini-jack. Most manufacturers will include a digital input as well as a mini-jack or regular RCA in the package. This feature is essential if you plan to use your headphones with your CD player, mini disc or DVD.

Premier Sound Quality.

In addition to the cordless mobility that they offer, digital wireless headphones create great sound quality. Most wireless headphones use infrared technology to transmit and receive the signal. Some will use a radio frequency instead. The digitally encoded signal process reduces or eliminates the hissing sound that oftentimes accompanies analog transmissions. If sound quality is important to you, digital headsets or earbuds are the best option.

If you plan to use these types of units with your car or home theater system, look for models that include built-in Dolby decoders and surround sound. While these audio devices may carry a higher price tag, they will enhance your listening experience.

Powering Your Headphones.

Power is another consideration. Most wireless units use a transmitter that plugs into the wall. Typically, the headset will be powered by batteries which are stored in the headset itself. If you will be using your headset a lot, consider buying rechargeable batteries. Rechargeable batteries can save you a quite a bit of money in the long run. Popular manufacturers include Audiovox, Sony and Bose.
